PUNCAK - In a heartfelt initiative bridging security and community empowerment, the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad Task Force, under the HABEMA Operational Command, has unveiled a program that’s bringing smiles to Jenggerpaga Village in Papua Tengah. On November 27, 2024, during their routine areal protection patrol, the Soldiers conducted the “ROSITA” (Buy Up Farming Products) initiative, directly supporting local farmers and boosting the village economy.
Led by First Lieutenant Anggun of the Kodim Persiapan Post, the Soldiers purchased agricultural products from the residents, turning their patrol into a mission of economic support. With funds from their own pockets, the Soldiers bought local produce to use for their meals, showcasing their deep commitment to the community’s welfare.
“The ROSITA initiative is about more than just buying produce, ” said Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, Commander of the 323 Task Forces. “It’s about building trust, strengthening local livelihoods, and showing our solidarity with the people we serve.”
The program’s impact was immediate and profound. Farmers, like Mama Arta Wonda, were overjoyed with the sales. “Thank you, Commander 323. God bless, ” she said with a beaming smile, reflecting the gratitude of many in Jenggerpaga.
HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, commended the initiative, stating, “Programs like ROSITA highlight TNI’s role not only as protectors but as partners in Papua’s progress. These efforts embody the spirit of care and collaboration essential to regional development.”
The ROSITA initiative demonstrates that acts of kindness, no matter how small, can ripple through a community, fostering hope and resilience. By intertwining security and empowerment, the 323 Task Forces have planted seeds of trust and prosperity, paving the way for a brighter future in Jenggerpaga Village.
